Taif: The Taif University is offering total 700 scholarships for the expatriates and the foreigners living in the country.
It is reported that out of these 700 scholarships, 500 will be awarded to the expatriates from the 40 Muslim countries and 200 will be awarded to the foreigners living in the country. This is for the first time that the Taif University is offering scholarships to foreigners for the coming academic year.
Dean of admission section named Wasalallah Al Sawat said that the university has accepted 18,000 students, of which 14,000 would be full time and 3,000 part time, in addition to postgraduate students. In an interview by a local news reporter he also added that 40 percent more students will be admitted in medical college this year as compared to last year.
He also said that we are just seeking for money but we are doing all this to improve the education and to develop good relations with other Muslim countries.
He said that new departments have been added in the university to diversify the education. These departments have been converted to separate faculties and for the approval of this change, the University has applied to Education Ministry.
Admission are open now and the students who wish to study in KSA can apply before the dead line. It could be a good opportunity who want to study medical sciences on scholarship.
