Federal Government of PMLN has announced its 5th budget of Pakistan since 2013. It is an honor for the Federal Minister of Finance “Ishaq Dar” and the government of PMLN that they have announced their 5th budget continuously.
In budget 2017-18 different steps have been taken and proposed. Many things got more taxes and other less. Different items got significant increase in their prices and many of the others non-significant. Parallel to all of this some daily use items’ prices have been lower down.
But the important thing in regards to government employees and every govt. employees wait for it around the year is increase in salaries. So, this time govt increases the adhoc relief allowance of govt employees @ 10%.
Full detailed description regarding the salary increase;
1. Merging of Adhoc Relief Allowance 2010 and 2016
According to budget speech 2017 Adhoc Relief Allowance 2010 and 2016 have been merged. ARA-2010 is @50% of the pay scale 2008, while ARA-2016 is @10% of the Basic Pay Scales 2016.
2. Revised Pay Scale 2017
According to budget speech Revised Pay Scale 2017 will be introduced after merging ARA-2010 & ARA-2016.
3. Adhoc Relief Allowance 2017
Adhoc Relief Allowance 2017 has been introduced @ 10%.
4. Minimum Wages 2017
Minimum Wages will be Rs. 15000/- per month instead of Rs. 14000/- per month.
5. Constant Attendant Allowance
Constant Attendant Allowance has been raised from Rs. 3000/- to Rs. 7000/-
6. Increase in Pension 2017
Pension has been increased @10% for the Government Employees.
7. Daily Allowance
Daily Allowance has also been increased.
