HEC to provide internet data packages to students for online classes
Higher Education Commission of Pakistan is working with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority to facilitate the students in remote areas of Pakistan.
Universities and colleges in Pakistan have been completely shut down for the students due to COVID-19 pandemic. Universities and colleges came up with a solution of online classes but momentarily they realized that online learning is not feasible for all.
The availability of internet in remote areas has become hurdle in the process and students are protesting against it. Therefore, the HEC has finally thought of a solution and planning for offering mobile data packages to students with the help of PTA. However, the project is about to finalize and will be launched soon.
