Pakistan to Compete India in Asian Hockey Champions Trophy Final on Sunday
The Asian Hockey Champions Trophy final is scheduled to be played on 30th October, 2016 (Sunday) between teams of Pakistan and India. Pakistan has been able to secure the fight for final after a superb competition in second semi final.
India reached the final be defeating South Korea by 5-4 in first semi final while Pakistan reached the final of Fourth Asian Hockey Champions Trophy after beating Malaysia by 3-2.
Pakistan has been twice the champion while Indian became champion in 2011 in Asian Hockey Champions Trophy. The final match will be played at Kuantan, Malaysia.
Pakistan squad comprises of Imran Butt and Amjad Ali as Goalkeepers. The defenders are Aleem Bilal, Mohammad Irfan (captain) and Ammad Shakeel Butt. The players who will be midfielders are Rashid Mahmood, Tasawar Abbas, Nawaz Ashfaq, Fareed Ahmad, Toseeq Arshad and Mohammad Rizwan Junior. The players who will fight in final of hockey match as forwarder are Mohammad Irfan junior, Umar Bhutta, Arslan Qadir, Ali Shan, Ejaz Ahmad, Mohammad Rizwan senior, Abdul Haseem Khan.
The both nations are rivals and chances of Pakistan to become champion this year are bright.
