Passenger’s screening for Ebola Virus at borders and airports

Islamabad: The federal government has been decided to screened out the persons, against the Ebola virus, found in African countries, who are coming from abroad.

Decision has been made during a meeting that was chaired by health Minister, Saira Afzal Tarar.

It has been decided to plan at high level for its prevention at any cost. Civil aviation department has been warned about this virus and meetings has been called for its prevention. Health care centers has been established on airports. Passengers will pass through the screening process against Ebola virus then they will move for next step.

It has also been decided during meeting that an awareness campaign about Ebola will be started soon. Everyone should be well award about this virus.

What is Ebola Virus?

It is a viral disease transmitted by contact with an infected person to a healthy through the following mediums:

  1. Saliva
  2. Vomiting
  3. Sweat
  4. Stool
  5. Urine
  6. Sexual Relations
  7. Infected Animals
