The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited has issued an apology notice in all leading newspapers today for the incident that took place yesterday. The incident affected major cities and most for the users of PTCL and Ufone.
As per PTCL, the internet connectivity of Broadband was disturbed due to cutting of fiber optic cable in a far area which happened around 3:45 pm on 26th December, 2016. The restoration of the services took a number of hours.
A press statement issued by PTCL states that:
PTCL network is designed for business continuity and high availability. However, due to abnormal cuts in our cables in different remote parts of the country, internet services were impacted which have been fully restored. We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused to our valued customers.
The users of PTCL are currently facing slow browsing and frequent disconnection in internet services. However, PTCL tried its best to resolve the issues yesterday and thanked the patience of users for the inconvenience caused.
PTCL has also set an inquiry to look into the matter.
