Lahore: A senior PTV producer Yawar Hayat had died. He was buried in Gulberg cemetery on 4th November, 2016. He died on 3rd November, 2016 after short illness at Combined Military Hospital, Lahore at the age of 73.
Yawar started his career in 1965 and has been an alumni of Aitchison and FC COllege.
Among his famous TV dramas are Dehleez, Saahil, Jazeera, Jheel, Adam Zaad, Parwaz and Vaadi.
The funeral was attended by senior artists and writers. Some of them were Sajjad Ahmad, Agha Qaisar Abbas, Shujat Hashmi, Irfan Khosat, Firdous Jamal, Asghar Nadeem Syed, Amjad Islam Amjad, Aurangzeb Laghari and Munnu Bhai.
A senior artists said that PTV did not care for the retired producer who was an asset.
His death has been a great set back for the television industry.
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb also contacted the widow of Yawar Hayat for condolence. She also visited the family of Yawar Hayat at their residence on 5th November 2016.
