Karachi: Sindh Government has declared a public holiday on 15th November, 2016 in connection with the Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai. Chief Secretary Sindh, Muhammad Siddique Memon, has also been issued a notification in this regard.

The Government of sindh has been pleased to declare 14th Safer 1438 (A.H) on 15th November, 2016 Tuesday as a Public Holiday throughout the Province of Sindh on the occasion of Urs of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai (R.A.) for all offices, Autonomous. Semi-Autonomous Bodies, Corporations and Local Councils under the Administrative Control of Government of Sindh. except essential services.
The notification was issued on last Friday by the provincial government.
Bhithai was a renowned Sindhi poet, saint and Sufi scholar. He was considered as a great Muslim of the Sindh. He wrote many books of Sindhi Poetry.
